At Upton we are proud to be pioneers in the field of music production and we are able to dedicate specific lessons each week to music technology, providing our children with a platform to experiment with and create music in a fun, exciting and user-friendly way.
All of our children, including those do not consider themselves to be innately musical, have the opportunity to write songs, compose, arrange and edit pieces of music in ways that they couldn’t possibly have imagined not that long ago. Using our state of the art suite of Apple Mac workstations running both GarageBand and Logic Pro X, we show the children how they can use the technology to produce content that is inspiring, current and hopefully, music that the next generation will listen to. To assist us with this we have a fully equipped professional Apple Mac sound studio adjacent to the music technology room so that the children can work on a project and when they are ready, pop next door into the studio to record their vocals or an instrumental track, ready to drop into their project and continue editing.
